Growing up,  Rod Tueller was a legend in my family.

Rod was my dad’s high school basketball coach and was instrumental in his development and becoming the great man he is today.

Rod has spent his entire life coaching sports in Utah. From a young kid, he would do whatever he could to sneak into his local schools to practice basketball after hours.

He would later go on to teach at several high schools and universities, and eventually be inducted into the Utah Sports Hall of Fame.

I could name countless people whose lives were changed forever thanks to Rod’s kindness, motivation, and leadership.

“Even though I was never one of Rod’s players, I’ve felt his influence through my dad.”

Rod’s #1 leadership principle is to love fully the people and programs you lead. Appreciate them, be fully invested, and show them respect by giving them your all.

That’s how great leaders act, and how future great leaders are inspired.
