I’ll never forget when I pulled up to a Vivint event in a $100,000 Range Rover.

Todd Pedersen, the CEO, pulled up in a 13-year-old truck that was falling apart.

The weird part was that Todd had made significantly more money than I had that year.

So what was the difference?

Todd was investing almost every single penny he made, while I wasn’t.

It was at that moment I realized I was being an idiot.
